Suspected Abandoned and Severely Damaged Vehicle in Residential Close

The vehicle has been left unmoved for over 3 months and is now severely damaged. One of the windows is smashed, with broken glass scattered across the seats, making the vehicle unsafe and clearly unroadworthy. It is taking up limited parking space meant for residents, and no one in the close recognises it or has seen it being used.

    • 7 days for vehicles on the public highway that are not dangerous - this applies to most abandoned vehicles

    • 24 hours if we decide the vehicle is dangerous

    • 15 days if the vehicle is on private land unless the landowner or occupier objects
