Accumulated litter along Alexandra Road

Reported via unknown in the Litter or Weeds on a Street category by Stuart Cox at 22:14, Tuesday 2 April 2024

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1080449-B7K1X4.

Walking from Wimbledon Centre towards Waitrose along Alexandra Road, on the right hand side pavement, there is a sizeable accumulation of later in the land by Network Rail, The Law Courts and Waitrose. I noticed it last year and it is gradually corroding into the grass and being overgrown by the grass.

  • Thanks for the swift reply but the problem is over the rails as shown in the photos. It will take days to clear the mess. Worst is Network rail, then The Law Courts, then Waitrose. At the moment the litter and general waste including plastic is corroding into the soil.

  • Hi, No change to the rubbish and eye sore at the the land adjacent to Network Rail, The Law Courts and Waitrose. The greenery is now covering some of the rubbish whilst the rubbish decomposes. Happy to clean it up myself but first the landowners should be contacted by Merton on behalf of the complaining residents.
