Year long water leak - thames water need to be held accountable

Reported via desktop in the Damaged Footway category anonymously at 14:16, Monday 8 July 2024

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1122591-K2Y6J0.

I have reported this leak to Thames Water in excess of 5 times over the last year alone. Engineers come on site in numerous vans, dig up, sleep in vans, take out a bus stop (which services elderly residents from the nearby residential home) and still the leak continues. We have water across the footpath casuing it to be hazadous as well as muddy grass verge and the leak still continues. I have been advised that the leak by the roundabout on Churston Drive is as a direct result of the leak on Cannon Hill but the Churston leak is SES water and here we find ourselves going round in circles with 2 leaks in close proximity by differing companies and neither coming to a stop. This is disgraceful and Thames Water need to be held accounatble for this job as each time you have to log a new incident - why is the initial report from 2023 not kept open until complete? Merton - urgent intervention is required
