Manhole cover on A238 Kingston Road, south side, is faulty and extremely noisy every time a vehicle passes over it.

Reported via mobile in the Faulty Manhole Cover on a Road category anonymously at 17:15, Mon 8 July 2024

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1122741-H7F6T4.

This faulty manhole cover has been emitting a very loud noise for several months and nothing appears to have been done to rectify it. The noise occurs every time a vehicle passes over the manhole, 24 hours a day. It is so noisy that even though we live on Kingswood Road we can still hear it, so I wouldn't like to imagine how annoying this must be for residents who live nearer to the location of the faulty manhole. Surely this can be fixed, especially as it has been occurring for months.
