Huge quantity of conkers on pavement for weeks

The large quantity of conkers on the pavement is hazardous and cause people to trip or walk in the middle of the road. I've already spent hours cleaning this up, filling two dustbins. Now the council must take action as the problem is relentless and after this the pavement will be full of leaves causing similar issues.
