Abandoned vehicle left on private land
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1152127-K0V1L3.
This car has been left at 13 Fairway, Raynes Park, SW20 9DN following a recent eviction. The car has been off the road for over ten years and must have been in its present location for most or all of this time. On 16th September, I posted a ¨please remove¨ notice on the car and e-mailed the previous occupant of the house, with no response. I need the car removed for access and means of off-road skip delivery for house clearance and to make urgent repairs on the house.

The bushes and shrubs surrounding the abandoned Volvo previously reported (preventing its removal) have now been removed so it can be towed from the front drive of 13 Fairway, Raynes Park, London, SW20 9DN.

The abandoned vehicle remains to be removed on Friday 29th November 2024. The new photo attached shows that it can be towed away.

This non-running Volvo 940 car abandoned on a private driveway was first reported on the LBM FixMyStreeet site on Wednesday 2nd October 2024 following a Court-enforced Warrant for Possession of the property in September 2024. I have uploaded multiple subsequent updates to reiterate that it remains to be removed, and the straightforward means of access to do so, but it’s still on the drive over two months later on Sunday 8th December 2024. Through blocking the access and use of the drive to other vehicles and skips, the abandoned car is actively preventing house and garden clearance and follow-on building surveys and trades. I approached a Lib Dem Councillor in the West Barnes Lane Ward by phone and email course of w/e 6th December 2024 to seek his intervention to help with the car’s soonest possible removal.
