Overgrowing vegetation on public footpath

Reported in the Other Footway or Footpath Issue category anonymously at 13:52, Wednesday 13 November 2024

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1164326-F2J9G6.

The brambles and nettles are over growing this public footpath, leading north from Green Lane. For reference, the lamp post in the picture is on the edge of the path so you can see how bad it has got. It’s been like this for over a month. It makes it hard for people with buggies or wheelchairs to pass each other.

  • Please pass on my thanks to the team that was dealing with this, they've done a great job. When I went past there were three lads walking side by side and I still had plenty of space to get past them. Trimming the verges is also very helpful since it avoid us brushing up against wet foliage at this time of year.
