Dangerous crossing for cyclists at the junction of Cranmer Rd and Carshalton Rd near CR4 4HN

Reported via Android in the Cycling Route Issue category anonymously at 18:30, Sun 24 November 2024

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1167264-W4N0Z9.

Cars coming from Cranmer road cannot anticipate that cyclist will be coming across this junction as the pavement on Carshalton Rd is a shared pedestrian and cycling path. Could you please review the road marking and move back the stop line further back from the junction, clearly marking th cycle path on that section of the road crossing as well please. Thanks to this large shared pavement, there wiill also still be a clear line of sight for car drivers to check for traffic in both directions at this junction.
