Barely visible road markings

Reported via mobile in the Markings category anonymously at 16:16, Thu 28 November 2024

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1168603-Q1B1W4.

There are two lanes on Coombe Lane approaching the traffic lights at junction with West Barnes Lane in the direction of Kingston. The traffic coming in the opposite direction is one way. The road markings dividing them is almost invisible. As a result of this and parked cars the traffic coming from Kingston direction frequently crosses over into oncoming lane forcing cars to stop or into left turning lane, which at times is dangerous. Some of the drivers appear to be unaware that they don’t have the right of way there.
