Drivers mistake bus stop markings for two lanes

Reported via desktop in the Markings category anonymously at 16:10, Wednesday 15 January 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1181057-Q6D8M3.

I've reported this before but nothing happened. It's only a matter of time before an accident happens here. Each and every time I drive to this traffic lights, cars assume there are two lanes. They mistake the markings for the bus stop for lane markings. You can see on the picture, the cars positioning themselves as if there are two lanes. Something needs to be done to make this clearer. I am nervous driving down this road as I anticipate road rage from drivers who think I am driving across lanes when in fact it is just one lane of traffic. Please do something.
