Double yellow line worn away

Reported via desktop in the Markings category anonymously at 11:34, Friday 17 January 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1181587-N6N1Q1.

The double yellow line has become increasingly worn away over the last 6 months. There has always been a lot of illegal parking at this high-risk corner (hence the double yellow line) but the abuse has become worse and the no parking zone needs to be better enforced. The high risk arises from two factors (i) high volumes of traffic rat-running turning into Queen Mary Avenue to avoid the Cannon Hill Lane/Grand Drive traffic lights and (ii) high numbers of school children and parents crossing the road at the start and end of the school day.
