Damaged storm drain outside 182a Kingston Road - buses ramming into it

Reported via desktop in the Damaged or Missing Gully Grid category anonymously at 15:25, Monday 3 March 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1193543-P7Q9W3.

I have reported this drain before - every time a bus hits it as it comes into the bus stop it makes a huge bang and my house shakes. It is getting worse - my bedroom is on the ground floor right by this drain and it is now affecting all aspects of my home life/sleep. My house moves when a bus goes over it and the noise is incredible, I am woken all night. It is also dangerous for bikes and other road users, and can't be good for the bus wheels. Please get in touch with me to acknowledge this message and let me know when it will be fixed, it is having a huge impact on me and my family. PS it is also the drain that overflows hugely when it rains and everyone gets splashed when a bus goes over it - all in all a drain in very bad shape, needing attention asap.
