Give way sign should be removed

The light timings at the junction O/S SW Tube station need to be changed and the give way sign needs to be removed. When turning L from Merton High Street into Morden Rd( from O/s S Wimbledon tube station)) the traffic lights turn green and , immediately after pulling away the driver turning is met with a give way sign. There is an expectation that the green light is allowing precedence to the driver turning L as described above, However the give way sign is sited too close to the green light and allows drivers little time to stop ( even though they have just pulled away at a green light) in order to read the road and stop for traffic crossing the junction from the drivers right from Merton Road. The timings should be changed so that drivers can turn L into Kingston against a green light without having to give way to drivers crossing from Merton Road . These drivers should be stopped at a red light allowing drivers to turn L into Morden Road as described above The road layout at the moment could cause a serious accident especially for drivers new to the area
