Unsafe Parking Near Intersection

Am writing to raise a concern regarding the ongoing issue of vehicles parking dangerously close to the intersection at Meadowview Road/ Grand Drive. This practice is obstructing visibility for drivers exiting the street and is creating a significant safety hazard for all road users, including pedestrians.

According to Rule 243 of the Highway Code, motorists must not park “within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction”, unless in an authorised parking space. Unfortunately, this rule is frequently ignored at the above location. As a result, drivers pulling out of the street are unable to see oncoming traffic clearly, which poses a serious risk of accidents.

I kindly request that the council consider appropriate enforcement action and/or the installation of clear signage or road markings to deter this type of parking and improve safety for residents and road users.
