Brambles growing onto payment

Reported via desktop in the Overhanging Vegetation From Private Land category anonymously at 16:21, Wed 3 September 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1250708-K6T4D0.

I cant find the correct postcode for this bit of the road as there are no houses. The one I have given is the closest road (runs parallel). The problem is between Martin Way & Cranleigh Road ON Mostyn Road. There are brambles growing over/onto the pavement. As this bit of road is not well lit you get badly scratched/cut when you walk home from the station. The problem is mainly on the South Merton station side. Thank you

Updates

  • Just walked home down Mostyn Road past South Merton Station at 18.45pm. The brambles are still there, even bigger now, and one is almost low enough to take your eye out.

  • Last time I passed here (by car) I think somebody had attempted a cut back, but it was not thorough.

  • Almost 6 months later, and still not resolved. What a dreadful service.
