Piles of leaves scattered on road & pavement

Reported in the Litter or Weeds on a Street category anonymously at 22:54, Sunday 5 October 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1259702-R9G2Q1.

Recent high winds have resulted in a significant build-up of fallen leaves scattered across pavements, driveways and entrances to properties. The accumulation poses a slipping hazard for pedestrians, including children and residents passing by. A prompt clearance would help ensure the area remains safe and accessible for everyone.

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting litter or weeds on a street.

If litter is widespread, we aim to clear it within 24 hours of your report. It may take longer if we need specialist equipment.
Reports of weeds or leaves will help us to plan our seasonal work. Weeds are normally cleared in spring, summer and early autumn. Leaves are only cleared once they have broken down.
