This raised crossing is causing major disruption to the residents who live close to this crossing. It is on a straight stretch of Hillcross Avenue and raised and when buses, lorries, skip, dustcarts, vans and cars go over they are going very fast and the whole house shakes/rumbles. This is particulary bad late at night. The main culprits are the buses. This is causing stress, anxiety, broken sleep and affecting the residents mental health along with damage, cracks to our property. Could you please look into as it is very disturbing! The other speed ramps along the road do not seem to have the same effect as they are near islands and parked cars and vehicles have to slow down to manouver around them. I have listed below other dangerous factors about the crossing. - on a straight bit of road - vehicles go full speed, over 20mph - vehicles over take slower vehicles and use the other side of the crossing - vehicles do not always stop as going too quick - the main school entrance is down the road and not a crossing there - vehicles turn quick out of Monkleigh rd and do not see pedestrians - residents houses constantly shake especially late at night - causes broken sleep, anxiety, stress to mental health - noise due to speeding - in the wrong place as on a straight - damage to property
My whole house shakes/rumbles, the bed, wardrobes, pictures, ornaments throughout the day due to the crossing especially late at night.
Please look into and advise Thanks Sue Donnelly
