Faulty drain/ manhole making LOUD NOISE

This has been an issue before and keeps me awake at night and also causes the building to shake. Please can it be fixed properly this time

  • Thank you for reporting a faulty manhole cover.

    We will inspect it within five working days to determine if the problem is with the cover itself or the road. If the cover is the problem, we will contact the utility company to repair the defect.
    If the road is damaged, repairs are usually carried out within 28 days following inspection.
    If we decide it’s an emergency we will make it safe within 4 hours following the inspection.
