Autumn leaves not swept on pavement and road, and pose a skidding risk for kids on scooters on the pavement and anyone cycling on the road

Sent to Merton Council 1 minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1262513-G6W5F7.

Large amount of fallen leaves that need removing. Leaves are forming a sludge and are posing a health and safety risk due to skidding risk, both for pedestrians on the pavement and to cyclists on the road. Please sweep and remove these leaves ASAP.

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting litter or weeds on a street.

If litter is widespread, we aim to clear it within 24 hours of your report. It may take longer if we need specialist equipment.
Reports of weeds or leaves will help us to plan our seasonal work. Weeds are normally cleared in spring, summer and early autumn. Leaves are only cleared once they have broken down.
