The tree is leaning towards the street and is brittle

Reported via mobile in the Dangerous Street Tree category by Beverley King at 12:49, Tue 18 November 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1264101-L3T2Q2.

I have attached photos of the tree outside 30 Garden Avenue which leans in the direction of the street and photos of the tree bark which is brittle throughout this tree. As the leaves have fallen for the season the brittleness of the bark at the top can be seen. There is concern that this tree is unhealthy and over time could pose a danger to people crossing the street or people driving in vehicles. Having trees on the avenue has been wonderful over the years, but some of the trees appear to be more of a danger than a pleasure. The tree outside no 30 is one of them. Kind regards
