Damaged Gully Grating

Reported via mobile in the Damaged or Missing Gully Grid category anonymously at 08:30, Tuesday 2 December 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1265296-V6J8M5.

The gully grating outside 131/133 Lower Morden Lane is broken. It is no longer attached to its frame and rocks every time a car or lorry drives over it, making a loud “clunk clunk” noise day and night. Please replace it with a gully grating which is secured to its frame.

If we think the obstruction may be dangerous based on the information you gave us, we aim to inspect the site within 2 hours. If we decide it is dangerous, we will resolve it within four hours after inspection. If it is not dangerous, we will resolve it within 28 days following the inspection.

    Did you know…?
We manage and maintain 17,900 road gullies across the borough. All high-risk gullies in areas known to have flooding issues are cleaned at least once a year and all other gullies are cleaned bi-annually.
