Pavement Safety Measures on Melrose Avenue
Reported via desktop in the Dangerous Street Tree category by Bart Parka at 15:36, Sun 7 December 2025
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1265810-R2Y0T2.
The pavements on Melrose Avenue have become increasingly obstructed due to overgrown street trees, which have not been properly maintained. Large branches and low foliage are blocking safe passage, forcing pedestrians into the road in several locations. As parents with a newborn in a pram, this is a particular concern for us, and it poses a significant health and safety hazard to all who use the pavement.
