Damage toGrass area at Jct. of Thurleston & Templecombe

Reported via desktop in the Damage to Grass Verge category anonymously at 20:23, Thu 11 December 2025

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1266325-Q2P8D7.

When recent roadworks were undertaken at the junction, heavy lorries and trailers parked on the grass triangle and damaged the ground extensively. Now that the work has finished, it has encouraged other delivery vans and lorries to drive across the triangle of grass making matters worse. In recent years, the wooden posts placed around this corner have been hit and uprooted by cars and not replaced; they could have prevented delivery drivers from doing this. Also, it must be remembered that the main water to both number 17 & 15 Thurleston Avenue have their stopcocks to each house concealed in the grass outside their gates and could be damaged by vehicles doing this
