Although taxed and Motd vehicle has been there a week without moving in a potentially dangerous position. Already been reported to the police

    We will investigate to decide if the vehicle has been abandoned.

    If it is abandoned, we will give notice to the owner before we remove it. The length of notice depends on the circumstances, and is normally:

    • 7 days for vehicles on the public highway that are not dangerous - this applies to most abandoned vehicles

    • 24 hours if we decide the vehicle is dangerous

    • 15 days if the vehicle is on private land unless the landowner or occupier objects
