Footpath in Morden Recreation Ground

Reported in the Damaged Footway category anonymously at 17:47, Monday 5 January 2026

Sent to Merton Council 17 hours, 47 minutes later. Council ref: SRQ-1268282-W3D7R0.

One side of the pathway in Morden Recreation Ground is in a poor and deteriorating condition. The pavement slabs are uneven and lifting in places, creating a clear trip hazard.

This path is used daily by a wide range of people including elderly residents, parents with pushchairs, runners, dog walkers, and people with mobility issues. The raised and broken sections are difficult to see when walking or running, especially in low light or wet conditions, and there is a real risk of falls and injury.

Given the high foot traffic and the vulnerable users who rely on this path, I believe this presents a genuine safety concern and should be inspected and repaired as soon as possible.
