A Faulty Manhole Cover Crown Lane

Reported via desktop in the Faulty Manhole Cover on a Road category anonymously at 11:26, Tuesday 6 January 2026

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1268342-P5H5T3.

The drain cover on the cycle lane is extremely deep, making it unsafe for cyclists or scooter users to ride over without a serious risk of falling or damaging their front wheel or fork. Riders are forced to swerve to the right, toward the road, which can catch car or lorry drivers by surprise and create dangerous situations. The hazard is even more concerning because the depth can easily be hidden by leaves or debris, making it effectively invisible. Picture doesn't do justice. Thank you
