Bins not collected
Reported via mobile in the Report missed collection category by Karen Forrester at 11:08, Saturday 10 January 2026
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1268814-M7M0C5.
These two litter bins are outside Flats 2, Hailsham Road, Tooting which belong to the residents of St Andrew's Hall (Southern Housing). Altogether there are 8 bins. You have collected from 6 bins further down which have been split up, but these 2 bins which are part of the 8, have not been collected. These bins are on a normal residential pavement and are normally all collected together. It is not private land pavement. Southern Housing pay for this service to have the bins collected. I do not know why these 2 bins have not been emptied, it's been weeks. I am a Street Champion and if these are not collected, will be speaking with Councillor Linda Kirby about it. Please empty these 2 bins as i have also emailed Merton Council with these pictures. Thank you.

Thank you for reporting a problem with litter bins.
We aim to empty all reported overflowing litter bins within 24 hours. Other issues may take a little longer.
Did you know…?
Merton provides and maintains over 1,000 public street litter bins across the borough. We emptied litter bins over 360,000 times in the year 2024/5, and received only 188 reports of bins overflowing. That's less than one report for every 1000 empties.
