Massive pothole on Streatham Road by Figges Marsh, before bus stop

Reported via mobile in the Potholes and Surface Problems category anonymously at 19:30, Saturday 10 January 2026

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1268844-X9C0F5.

There is a massive and deep pothole in the carriageway on Streatham Road by Figges Marsh, just before the bus stop. The pothole is difficult to see, especially in low light, and poses a serious danger to vehicles.

On 09/01/2026 at approximately 6pm my vehicle struck this pothole and both tyres were immediately damaged, causing a breakdown. The defect requires urgent inspection and repair to prevent further damage or accidents.
