Wandle Trail - littered bush area

Reported via mobile in the Litter or litter bins category anonymously at 15:29, Tuesday 20 January 2026

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8729456.

Trying again as my report on Fix Mystreet from this morning has been Closed without any action taken. Walking back towards Plough Lane, the entire left hand side of the bush-area /riverbank has been plastered in cans, bottles and other rubbish. It looks like the vegetation has been cut back but all the litter left?! Surely, now is the time to clear up the area when the plants are cut back and the mess can be seen and accessed?!? It’s particularly bad between the railway bridge and Waterside way. When the council promised clean street, I think we all assumed that would include our green space. We seem to have been wrong.
