Litter on grassy verge on Meruntun Way
Reported in the Fly-Tipping category anonymously at 15:50, Saturday 24 January 2026
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1270466-J6G9N7.
I couldn’t take a photo as I was driving/waiting at the lights but the grassy verge is absolutely littered with rubbish where people throw things out of their windows whilst waiting for the lights to change. The grass on the verge has obviously been cut in the last few days which is good but whoever did it didn’t clear up the rubbish first (!) so now it’s shredded water bottles and rubbish everywhere and it looks so unsightly. Perhaps it might be an idea to put some cameras there to catch people littering in this area as it seems to be a constant problem? Many thanks.
