Insurance

Reported via desktop in the Other Street Tree Problem category anonymously at 22:03, Saturday 24 January 2026

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1270490-H1P2W2.

Hi Whilst I welcome & respect the tree-planting programme, I am a bit concerned from the insurance point of view. My home insurers tell me that if my house is within 10m of a tree, they may not insure me or, alternatively, the premiums will rise. Apparently the newly planted tree already invalidates my home insurance. Is it possible to move the tree planted directly outside 62 Seely Road?
