Hoarding Boards - Obstructing View
Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on a Road or Pavement category by Joe keith at 14:40, Saturday 31 January 2026
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1271295-Z8W7W9.
New Hoarding boards have been put up along farm road near the Combermere Road junction related to the building at Farm Church. The new hoarding boards obstruct the view of drivers exiting Combermere turning right onto farm road. What makes matters even worse is construction vehicles parking on farm road further blocking the view (as per pictures provided).
Drivers have to essentially drive out onto the road into on coming traffic to get a view. Already I have seen a close encounter with a bike in addition to residents and road users having zero visibility at the junction.
This is an accident waiting to happen scenario and is dangerous for local residents and road users.

Hello - is there any update on this issue following the inspection? The exit to the road is still obscured and a danger to rod users. Hopefully this can be resolved before an accident occurs.
Thanks Joe

Temporary mirror put up by the council however insufficient. Visability splay still impacted by hoarding. Advised council and still pending any feedback or corrective action.
