Huge constant shaking of my house
Reported via mobile in the Other Roads or Carriageway issue category anonymously at 17:31, Monday 16 February 2026
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1273053-W5P5C7.
My house now shakes at the passage of a simple car. If it’s a van or worse a track, it feels like my house is being hit by a giant hammer. Other than being very scary, it means that I get woken up at any time of the night with the shakes and my quality of life and sleep have hugely deteriorated. I have highlighted this problem a few years ago, now it’s unbearable. The road pavement must be reinforced, repaved with a thick strong stable layer. If my house crumbles down or falls (and there are smaller shakes after the main shakes that makes me understand the structurely it’s a massive issue), I will hold the council responsible. I have reached out so many times and ignored. You must help us. For our neighbours is the same.
