Redundant unsightly street sign clutter

Reported via mobile in the Other Roads or Carriageway issue category by Nollaig Griffin at 11:05, Sunday 22 February 2026

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1273736-W8R7X3.

These two road signs (circled in white) are redundant and are just cluttering the street where Beech Grove ends. As you can see there are barriers in place so cars, vans, lorries cannot get through. And motorbikes regularly drive through here anyway as there is no reason for them not to use this access. I think these road signs were erected here by mistake, and they need to be removed. I think they were intended for another location, for example the junction of Commonside East and Spencer road where there are no physical barriers. Please remove this unsightly clutter. Thank you.
