The MH Cover bangs when driven over and given the volume of traffic the noise is constant during the day and is very distracting when I am trying to work within my office

It must also be a nuisance for people living in flats above shop units, particularly, at night

I noticed the problem on Monday 2nd March

  • Thank you for reporting a faulty manhole cover.

    We will inspect it within five working days to determine if the problem is with the cover itself or the road. If the cover is the problem, we will contact the utility company to repair the defect.
    If the road is damaged, repairs are usually carried out within 28 days following inspection.
    If we decide it’s an emergency we will make it safe within 4 hours following the inspection.
