Unauthorised cones obstructing public parking space
Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on a Road or Pavement category anonymously at 22:57, Tuesday 31 March 2026
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1278076-X7Z3T9.
A resident is placing cones in the road every day to reserve a parking space. The cones are put out in the morning and remain there until their vehicle returns, preventing other residents from using the space.
This has been happening for several months and occurs on a daily basis. Parking on this road is already very limited, and this ongoing obstruction is causing inconvenience to other residents who have equal right to use on-street parking.
The cones appear to be placed without any official authorisation and are obstructing a public highway.
