Blocked gulley outside 325/327, Commonside East
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1278745-T0S1N0.
Blocked gulley ,full up with mud. I have reported this before, and the contractor has stated the status as fixed. It is not cleared. Please investigate further, ASAP.

Thank you for reporting a blocked drain or gully.
If we can clear the blockage using a tanker with a suction hose, we will do this within 5 working days of your report.
If more complex work is needed such as digging out compacted silt or repairing collapsed drains, it may take longer.

We manage and maintain 17,900 road gullies across the borough. All high-risk gullies in areas known to have flooding issues are cleaned at least once a year and all other gullies are cleaned bi-annually.

The drain is completely blocked and filled to the surface with hard mud, dirt, and debris. Because the gully is entirely occluded, no surface water can drain away. This presents a major safety and flooding hazard to both the road and the pavement whenever we experience rainfall.
I understand given the severity of the impacted mud, it will require a manual dig-out and/or specialist gully suction equipment, however 8 weeks is an unreasonable amount of time for there to be no update.
Please arrange for an inspection and arrange for this gully to be cleared as a matter of urgency before heavy rain causes localised flooding. I have included photographs of the blocked drain for your reference.
