Weeds and litter in the bushes cause rats to nest

Large amount of weeds on the alley that is leading to primary school. The weeds are littered, and that causes rats to nest there. We have to walk that way twice a day with my 5 year-old, and we both are terrified of the number of rats we see in these bushes. The alley must be cleared out of weeds completely and disinfected from rats. The alley is a footpath that belongs to council, not school, nor Scout hut, not residential.

Hi, I would like to get a substantial update on this, as the problem is urgent and appears to be widely reported since late April on this website. However, no action has been done by the council, with dogs poo still not cleared and the rat problem is not investigated.

We’re still waiting for any actions or updates from the council. The issue affects children’s health and safety, and we’ve yet to hear back from anyone responsible.
