Partial obstructions Road closure Cavendish Road

Road unnecessarily closed without proper notice - At about 1pm, on Sunday, the14th of June 2026, I passed by the Cavendish Road access to Colliers Wood High Street, on my way to my home in Warren Road - with no temporary traffic lights or road closure in place. Later at about 3pm the Cavendish Road access to Colliers Wood High Street (at the library) was closed, forcing me to turn around, with other traffic, to join Colliers Wood High Street via Marlborough Road. No specific warning of the closure had been given. In addition, the excavation works were then (and remain now on Tuesday) on the pavement, not on the road itself! Also residents have not observed any work being done following the excavation on the pavement. Since the closure hundreds of vehicles including large Lorry’s have been forced to turn around at the end of Park Road, there still being no notice in place at the junction of Park Road and Marlborough Road which could relieve somewhat, the unnecessary inconvenience. Please arrange for the relevant signage to be installed immediately and the necessary work expedited, so that the road closure and the temporary traffic lights can be removed as soon as possible.
