Tree damaging cars and driveway and slippery due to falling wild cherries

Reported via mobile in the Damage Caused By a Street Tree category anonymously at 22:20, Thursday 18 June 2026

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9647049.

We have a issue with the tree as it's overgrown and hasn't been shredded for many years. The tree is causing damage to cars parked under and in the driveway due to falling wild cherries and birds waste is damaging pain work of cars. We urgently require the council to appoint a shredding company to come and shred the tree also at school times children come on the road due to dirty surface caused by birds waste falling off the tree and falling cherries causing footpath to become slippery at times. Its a early warning for something big to happen I have reported this many times last year aswell but no action has been taken on this serious issue. I will wait for 2 weeks otherwise will be reporting this to local mp and councillors for there urgent attention as this is not being taken seriously.
