Follow-up: original road surface defect remains after nearby repair

This is a further follow-up to SRQ-1277596-S5T6F5 and SRQ-1282909-G9L2H1.

I understand that a repair was carried out nearby on or around 13 May 2026. However, the completed repair is at a different nearby section, approximately 20 metres away from the original location reported.

The original issue remains: a localised dip / uneven reinstated area in the running lane at the location shown by the map pin and attached annotated photographs. Passing vehicles continue to jolt over this specific area.

This report is not intended to duplicate the previously repaired section. I am asking for the original reported location to be re-checked, as the nearby repaired section is separate from the remaining defect.

I would be grateful if the original location could be re-inspected using the attached annotated photographs. The photographs show: 1. the remaining original defect / uneven reinstated area; and 2. the previous repaired section nearby;

I appreciate that highway defects are assessed against the Council’s intervention criteria. If no action is considered necessary, I would be grateful if the reason could be explained, given that the previous repair was carried out at a different nearby location rather than the original location reported under SRQ-1277596-S5T6F5.
