I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning issue I encountered this morning while walking along the pavement from Mitcham market towards Canons House. On the right-hand side of the pavement, near the dentist, barber, and Craving coffee shop, I noticed that the area by the litter box has been severely affected by an oily substance.
Unfortunately, I slipped while trying to navigate this hazardous spot, which resulted in an injury to my elbow as I attempted to grasp the litter box for support. I am particularly worried that this situation poses a significant risk to more vulnerable members of our community, such as the elderly, children, and adolescents, who could potentially sustain more serious injuries.
In addition to the safety concerns, the area is emitting an unpleasant odour and presents a considerable hygiene issue right next to the shops. I strongly urge that this matter be addressed promptly, possibly by sending a pavement wash to clean the affected area.
