Pathway overgrown and blocked by overhanging vegetation

Along the footpath adjacent to the railway and behind the care home the entire pathway is overgrown with stinging nettles and vegetation. Pedestrians are having to duck to walk underneath the vegetation now as it has grown overhead across the pathway and it is likely to keep growing so that it fully obstructs the path. It has been overgrown for about a month now due to the heatwave and is getting worse. Bicycles and e-bikes come down this path so quickly they are forcing pedestrians into the stinging nettles growing on either side of the pathway in order to pass by. In some parts of the pathway the hedges on either side are so overgrown people cannot pass each other and have to walk in a single file. I have been stung twice this week. Please can the pathway hedges and vegetation be trimmed back?

Thank you for reporting overhanging vegetation.
If plants or trees on private land are blocking the street, we’ll ask the owner to cut them back. If they don’t do this within 28 days, we’ll write to them again giving them 14 days further notice and if action is still not taken we will arrange for the work to be done at the owner's expense.
