Faded give way markings
Reported via mobile in the Markings category anonymously at 22:59, Friday 10 July 2026
Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1289230-T6X1S0.
I would like to raise a safety concern regarding the give way junctions along Pelham Road.
Cars are frequently failing to stop at these junctions, which I suspect is due to the give way road markings having become so faded that they are no longer clearly visible. This appears to be a recurring problem throughout this grid of streets.
It is an accident waiting to happen, particularly given that there are two primary schools nearby and many children and families use these roads every day. I would urge the Council to inspect the area and reinstate the faded give way markings as soon as possible to improve road safety.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
