The land in question is not part of Mitcham Common, as advised by the Mitcham Common Management Team, and falls under the responsibility of Merton Council. There are several potholes and areas where the surface has broken away, creating a potential trip hazard for pedestrians, wheelchair users, and people using pushchairs. The damaged surface presents a safety risk and requires repair by Merton Council.
