Dangerous junction because yellow lines faded to nothing

Reported via desktop in the Markings category anonymously at 10:27, Saturday 18 July 2026

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1290003-M1M4F4.

Following up on the report SRQ-1182361-H7B9W2 last year, these yellow lines which you installed at our request a couple of years ago are now hardly visible at all and are not doing the job needed of them. People park there constantly and it means we cannot see oncoming cars when pulling out of our drive. The drive is shared by 4 houses, and some residents are in their 80's. We had a very close near-miss the other day with one older neighbour nearly being hit by a passing car when pulling out very carefully.

You agreed the need to replace 2 parking bays with these yellow lines when we first reported it, and did that work. But the work hasn't achieved the aim and the danger is still there. My neighbours and I are certain there will be a nasty accident soon if these lines are not repainted urgently.
