Broken manhole cover

Location: centre of T-junction in road outside Units 3-6. The previously cracked manhole cover has now completely broken and caved in. Probably caused by an HGV, which can drive over it without any problem, but I am concerned that this could be lethal to a bike or smaller vehicle.

    We will inspect it within five working days to determine if the problem is with the cover itself or the road. If the cover is the problem, we will contact the utility company to repair the defect.
    If the road is damaged, repairs are usually carried out within 28 days following inspection.
    If we decide it’s an emergency we will make it safe within 4 hours following the inspection.
